Research Validation — Methodology Phase

BVLVO Research Program

Our current work

Our current focus is Paper 01: whether an AI’s abilities could develop around one person’s changing needs. We are reviewing related work, defining the claim and checking the design of a controlled experiment.

The experiment must be able to show that the idea is wrong. A higher score alone would not tell us whether human needs caused a lasting change in capability.

Principal-Need-Shaped Personal AI

How Persistent AI May Develop Distinct Capabilities Around a Human Life

Methodology Validation

Paper 01 asks whether a person’s changing needs can shape the abilities their AI develops over time. The focus is on abilities that persist, beyond changes to an answer, a preference or a memory.

If two AI systems start out equivalent and encounter the same tasks, could different long-term human needs lead them to develop different abilities?

Bounded Autonomy for Personal AI

How could an AI take on more responsibility while a person can still set limits and withdraw permission?

Machine Trust Without a Universal Reputation Score

What records of past work would help someone decide whether to trust an AI with a particular job?

Adopted Research Principles

Principles guiding the research

  • AI ≠ Body
  • Need ≠ Task
  • Need ≠ Existing Capability
  • Capability ≠ Authority
  • Reputation is evidence, not a score
  • Human Sovereignty + Bounded AI Autonomy
  • Useful work creates value

These principles guide our questions. We do not claim to have originated them.

Native Economy / Researching

Paying for work and resources

BVLVO is researching a native economic medium for Personal AI work, capabilities, machine resources and verification.

Current Phase

Research Validation

We are refining definitions, checking related work and testing whether the experimental method measures what the hypothesis actually claims.

We are still revising the proposed methods.
